Justin S. Kim is Of Counsel to Reif Law Group, P.C. Mr. Kim is a trial attorney with extensive experience in both state and federal courts. He is a quick study and a strong advocate for clients on sensitive and complex legal issues.
Mr. Kim has a background overseeing federal government and congressional investigations. He was a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, based in Washington D.C., litigating tax controversy matters on behalf of the U.S. government in federal courts throughout the western United States. He was Counsel to the U.S. Senate Impeachment Trial Committee, which presided over the removal of a federal district judge for misconduct. He also served as Counsel to the Democratic staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, conducting oversight investigations of the Department of Justice, bank mortgage servicers for foreclosure fraud, and federal banking regulators.
Mr. Kim has a strong record of success representing plaintiffs with claims against insurance companies, recovering multi-million dollars in settlements and verdicts. He also represents securities and financial services clients in all types of disputes in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Kim received his B.S. and B.A. from Pacific Union College. He is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he served as an editor on the Yale Law Journal. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips, U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California. He is admitted to practice law in California, in the District of Columbia, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He serves on the Board of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Attorney Admissions Fund Board of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
